It’s finally time to introduce ourselves to the world of blogging, and we couldn’t think of any better way than with the launch of our exciting new business venture.
Seeing as the summer sun has finally arrived after what feels like a lifetime of hibernation, we wanted to share with you some of the most beautifully designed hotels in the world. Lots of us have been gazing longingly at pictures of beaches and bikinis in our lunchtime magazine reads (our studio included) and that time has finally come to take a hit on the credit card and book one of our very own.
Here are three of our favourite city abodes that are definitely worth your while this summer:
We are jet setting off to New York in a couple of weeks to visit our clients newly purchased Manhattan Apartment and whilst we are there we shall be visiting (unfortunately not staying in) the divine Tribeca Penthouse at the Greenwich Hotel.
One of Axel Vervoordt’s best designs yet, the Tribeca Penthouse holds a wealth of interior design inspiration, focusing on the age-old motto of ‘less is more’. With three bedrooms, a variety of cosy living spaces and multi-level terraces including a pool, the simple industrialised design is a favourite this season.
Barcelona is a beautiful city very close to our hearts as a few of us spent a period of our design education learning from the Spanish favourites. For anyone that has not yet managed to take a trip, this is definitely the next one to make.
The newbies will feel very much at home in The Serras Hotel with its chunky wooden floors, vast open windows and incredibly high ceilings. More New York Loft than gothic Barcelona, the rooms all contain smaller, traditional elements of Catalan design such as the quaint detailed tiles showcasing the bathroom areas. This hotel eases guests into the Spanish culture and located only a short walk from Plaza Cataluyna it sits within the heart of the city.
For those of you that are workaholics just like us and need something closer to home, this recently finished hotel in Dublin is perfect for a few days out of the office. Allowing you time to relax and simply enjoy the space, the cool yet sophisticated design tops the list of the most creative.
The fun and thoughtful touches to each and every part of the styling are what makes this design so great. From the individual lamps that change from room to room, mini smeg fridges fully stocked in each abode, down to the rooftop equipped with tree surrounded booths, we have fallen in love.
We have big plans for the summer with big ambitions and we cannot wait to join forces with the rest of the interiors world. Here’s to creating better places, spaces and rooms full of sparkle and shine.
